The Obama Nixon Comparison With A Twist

The Obama Nixon comparison is running rampant and wild lately. I object to that comparison; President Nixon should never be reduced to that level.

Seriously, at the very least, President Nixon was an effective governing figure. Tricky Dick was no conservative, to be sure, but I was a big fan of détente, which would have had even more success if it did not have career bureaucrats attempting to sabotage it incessantly.

Nevertheless, Mr. Nixon often does not get the credit he deserves being buried under the Watergate scandal, which in my opinion, does not come anywhere close to the recent Obama scandals on the tyranny barometer.

The video above is people, in this case Warren Roche who I would encourage you to follow on Twitter (it is linked to his name), having a field day with this comparison.

It is an interesting five minutes, demonstrates just how much tolerance to tyranny has changed, and has a twist at the end.
