Well, this certainly explains a lot. Ohio Gov. John Kasich apparently believes some politicians have the right to bypass the voters, including Arizona Sen. John McCain.
“As far as I am concerned McCain shouldn’t have to run for election to the Senate,” Gov. Kasich said on State of the Union with Jake Tapper on Sunday. “He ought to be in Senate as long as he wants to be. He’s in a tough race out there. I don’t care what it takes, I have got to go out there and help McCain.”
Gov. Kasich said he would do everything he could to help the reelection bids of embattled Republican senators, including Sen. McCain, New Hampshire Sen. Kelly Ayotte and Illinois Sen. Mark Kirk. All face tough reelection fights in November. However, he continued his refusal to endorse Donald Trump.
“He’s going to win parts of Ohio where people are really hurting,” he said. “But I still think it’s difficult if you are dividing to be able to win Ohio. I think it’s really, really difficult.”
