Trump Releases Video Statement Responding to 2005 Leaked Audio

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump released a video responding to leaked audio from a 2005 conversation with Billy Bush. The New York businessman was talking in 2005 with Bush of “Access Hollywood” on a bus arriving on the set of “Days of Our Lives” to tape a segment about his upcoming cameo on the soap opera.

“I never said pretended I was a perfect person or pretended I was someone I was not,” Trump said. “I’ve said and done things I regret. And the words released today on this decades old video are one of them.

“I said it. I was wrong and I apologize.”

Billy Bush, the nephew of President George H.W. Bush and cousin to President George W. Bush, was also making what most found to be inappropriate comments.

“Governor Mike Pence will be representing me tomorrow in Wisconsin,” Trump said in a statement before the video. “I will be spending the day in New York in debate prep with RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, Gov. Chris Christie and Sen. Jeff Sessions, and then flying to St. Louis on Sunday for the 2nd Presidential Debate.”

He was scheduled to campaign with House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., but the speaker pulled out of the appearance. People’s Pundit Daily has not yet confirmed whether he’ll appear with Gov. Pence or not.
