Donald Trump accepted the Republican nomination for president at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio. Mr. Trump said “we mist choose to believe in America,” vowing to “be your voice” champion. “I’m with you, the American people,” he said, a response to Hillary Clinton’s slogan “I’m With Her.”

“I humbly and gratefully accept your nomination for the presidency of the United States,” he said. “We will lead our country back to safety, prosperity and peace.”

The New York Republican lived up to his “billionaire working class” persona with a message about wages, trade and other economic issues. He vowed to be a their “voice” and said putting “American first will be our credo.”

Trump gave the single-most message inclusive in at least five Republican conventions. He championed the LBGTQ community, promised inner-city parents to save their children from failing inner cities and to be the champion of the “forgotten,” to including new immigrants negatively impacted by globalism.

“I pledge to never sign a trade agreement that hurts our workers or endangers our nation… Our plan will put America First,” he said. “The American people will come first once again.”

Here is a summary of his most memorable remarks:

“Any politician who does not address this danger is not fit to lead our country.”

“We will be a country of generosity and warmth — but we will also be a country of law and order.”

“I have a message for all of you: The crime and violence that afflicts our nation will soon — and I mean very soon — come to an end. Beginning on January 20 of 2017, safety will be restored.”

“We can not afford to be so politically correct anymore.”

“We will honor the American people with the truth and nothing else.”

“Our roads and bridges are falling apart.”

“We all remember the images of our sailors being forced to their knees by their Iranian captors.”

The Iran deal “gave us absolutely nothing.”

“The world is far less safe than when Obama made the decision to put Hillary Clinton in charge of foreign policy.”

Hillary Clinton’s “bad instincts” and her “bad judgements” “caused so many of the disasters unfolding today.”

“After 15 years of wars in the Middle East, after trillions of dollars spent, thousands of lives lost, the situation is worse than it has ever been before. This is the legacy of Hillary Clinton: Death, destruction, terrorism and weakness.”

“My plan will begin with safety at home.”

Hillary Clinton “will keep our rigged system in place.” She is the “puppet” of big donors, “and they pull the strings,” Trump says.

“I have no patience for injustice.”

“When I take the oath of office next year, I will restore law and order to our country. Believe me.”

“In this race for the White House, I am the law and order candidate.”

“We are going to defeat the barbarians of ISIS, and we’re going to defeat them fast.”

“As a Republican, it is so nice to hear you cheering for” LGBTQ people.

“I only want to admit individuals into our country who will support our values and love our people.”

“We are going to build a great border wall to stop illegal immigration.”

“The day I take the oath of office – Americans will finally wake up in a country where the laws of the United States are enforced.”

“I am not going to let companies move to other countries, firing their employees along the way, without consequence.”

Labels China “the greatest currency manipulators ever.”

Ivanka Trump championed equal pay for equal work during her speech to the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio. She revealed the truth about her father’s fair treatment of women at the Trump Organization and said he will do the same thing for the nation as president, vowing to be right by his side fighting with him.

“He will fight for equal pay for equal work and I will fight for this too right there alongside of him,” Ivanka Trump said.

A senior adviser at the Trump campaign said that Donald Trump’s speech to the Republican National Convention will appeal to three target voting blocs. Mr. Trump will give a nomination speech that underscores law and order aimed at appealing to Republicans still on the questions, independents and those who have never voted before in prior elections.

“I have a message for all of you: the crime and violence that today afflicts our nation will soon come to an end,” Trump will say Thursday night in Cleveland, according to prepared remarks released ahead of the nominee’s address.

“Beginning on January 20, 2017, safety will be restored.”

Multiple advisers and were consulted on the speech for weeks. He will try to ensure Americans who are “far less safe” that “safety will be restored” under a Trump administration.

Mr. Trump will also hit on other issues including national security, the economy and even social issues. He’s speak about the people he may along the campaign trail and will not use his tradition name for his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton, instead using “my opponent” and the “Democratic Party” to paint a picture to voters that they have a better choice.

“America is far less safe – and the world is far less stable – than when Obama made the decision to put Hillary Clinton in charge of America’s foreign policy,” Trump will say. “I am certain it is a decision he truly regrets. Her bad instincts.”

He will tell the American people he will be their champion and only a non-politician can solve the problems made the politicians.

“I say these words to you tonight: I’m with you,” Trump will say. “I will fight for you, and I will win for you.”

The National Association of Realtors reports sales of existing single-family homes rose 1.1% in June to an annualized rate of 5.57 million units. The expectation was for 5.48 million units.

“Existing sales rose again last month as more traditional buyers and fewer investors were able to close on a home despite many competitive areas with unrelenting supply and demand imbalances,” Lawrence Yun, NAR chief economist said. “Sustained job growth as well as this year’s descent in mortgage rates is undoubtedly driving the appetite for home purchases.”

Regional Breakdown

June existing-home sales in the Northeast declined 1.3 percent to an annual rate of 760,000, but are still 5.6 percent above a year ago. The median price in the Northeast was $284,800, which is 1.4 percent above June 2015.

In the Midwest, existing-home sales jumped 3.8 percent to an annual rate of 1.35 million in June, and are now 4.7 percent above June 2015. The median price in the Midwest was $199,900, up 5.7 percent from a year ago.

Existing-home sales in the South in June remained unchanged from May at an annual rate of 2.26 million, and are 3.2 percent above June 2015. The median price in the South was $217,400, up 5.5 percent from a year ago.

Existing-home sales in the West rose 1.7 percent to an annual rate of 1.20 million in June, but are still 0.8 percent below a year ago. The median price in the West was $350,800, which is 7.2 percent above June 2015.

“Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson had some choice words for Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, the candidate for president he previously endorsed. His comments followed Sen. Cruz Wednesday night giving a speech at the Republican National Convention where he refused to uphold his pledge, keep his word and endorse Donald Trump.

The Robertson family patriarch and reality star, who had been a big supporter of Sen. Cruz during the Republican primary, said it’s time for the Texas senator to get behind Donald Trump.

“I mean give me a break Ted, go ahead and endorse the man,” Robertson said on Fox and Friends Thursday morning. “I mean, you lost, he won.”

In his appearance on “Hannity” following the speech, Robertson went so far as to point out what real Christians are expected to behave like. To be fair, he didn’t limit his criticism to Sen. Cruz.

“I love that dude [Cruz] but all the guys who lost and gals, they all need to swallow their pride and say the people [and] the Republican Party has said Donald Trump is the man we want in the White House,” he said again Thursday morning. “So I’m learning about politics as I’m going and I think maybe the key word is they need to learn how to forgive each other and let’s move on.”

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz stepped on stage at the Republican National Convention and refused to honor his pledge, breaking his word and revealing his true self to America. In a meeting with angry delegates Thursday morning, he further admitted he took the bruising primary personally and couldn’t put the country first.

America, you just met the real Ted Cruz.

Throughout this past primary season, much to the dismay of many of our readers, we tried to tell Republican voters the truth about Mr. Cruz, and everyone else for that matter. Many of you didn’t listen and even responded with scorn. Sincere in your convictions, you wanted to believe he was a patriot and would put your interests before his own political ambition.

Believe us, we have the utmost gratitude for his firm stance on ObamaCare and his allied efforts against the unconstitutional expansion of executive power the leaders of the Republican Party were unwilling to confront. We, too, first believed that Mr. Cruz being so disliked by his colleagues in D.C. was a good thing, but quickly learned that being a man of principle is not why they dislike him.

He is not Ronald Reagan, a man who put his country and children first. He’s a small, self-absorbed man using the failures of the party for personal political gain.

Ronald Reagan endorses President Gerald Ford at the 1976 Republican National Convention after a bitter primary, setting himself up to be the standard-bearer for the party in 1980.

Ronald Reagan endorses President Gerald Ford at the 1976 Republican National Convention after a bitter primary, setting himself up to be the standard-bearer for the party in 1980.

What you saw last night was the real Ted Cruz unveiled, a man who claims to stand on the principles you hold dear, yet finds nothing wrong with breaking his word and using dirty campaign tricks. For the Mark Levin sycophants who still think Mr. Cruz did nothing wrong to Ben Carson the day of the Iowa caucus, let us just tell you that everyone following the campaign on the trail knows what he did.

Let us also remind you that a man died volunteering for Dr. Carson and his memory deserves more than your wishful thinking and willful ignorance. You wanted to believe it? Well, so did we. But it’s a lie.

Mr. Cruz is the kind of person who, once he’s made up his mind, doesn’t know how to take advice, admit he’s wrong or show humility for being wrong. Mr. Cruz bet his entire campaign strategy on the premise that there were tens of millions of previously invisible evangelical voters that haven’t voted in previous elections because Republicans have failed to run someone like him.

He was and still is very, very wrong.

Admittedly, both Mr. Trump and Mr. Cruz brought millions of new faith-based voters to the polls during the primary season, but not by the numbers he suggests exist and will be needed to defeat demographic patterns favorable to the Democratic candidate. Those voters who did come out, many for the first time and many for the first time in years, voted for Donald Trump.

Speaking of the Republican nominee, he knew the context of Mr. Cruz’s speech two hours prior and still wanted him to speak. While the media doesn’t cover it, largely because they want to foment disunity, Mr. Trump has gone to great lengths to include his former rivals in the convention and did not make an endorsement a prerequisite to speak.

That speaks volumes about his character as a man and a leader. That’s what real leaders do, America. They bring people together who have different interests, grievances, desires and dreams. But most importantly, they keep their word. The same cannot be said about Mr. Cruz, who followed Donald Trump around like a puppy dog pandering to his voters with the belief he would fade. Then, he turned on him like a rabbit dog once it became clear he would not.

He also turned on those who supported him for the U.S. Senate when he was a nobody, including Gov. Sarah Palin, who he accused via Rep. Steve King of being bribed (bribed!) because she endorsed Donald Trump.

Let us leave you with this final thought: If conservatism means not keeping your word and only looking out for yourself, then we submit the future of conservatism in America is even darker than the empirical evidence indicates.
