Antifa Attacked Journalists and Trump Supporters at Berkeley, Not Neo-Nazis

Antifa, otherwise known as so-called anti-fascists, attack journalists outside Martin Luther King Jr. Civic Center Park in Berkeley, California, on Sunday, August 27th, 2017.

Contrary to mainstream media reports, Antifa attacked journalists and Trump supporters during the protest in Berkeley, not Neo-Nazis and white supremacists. Big Media, including Chuck Todd at NBC News, CNN, Reuters and others, have completely abdicated their role as truth-tellers.

Thankfully, local journalists have done a much better job.

Lizzie Johnson, a reporter at the San Francisco Chronicle, did a great job reporting the reality on the ground on Saturday. While Twitter trend excerpts were incorrectly framing it as a clash between “white supremacists” and “counter-protestors” or even “peace activists,” as Reuters outrageously characterized them last week, she and others on the ground were telling the real story.

In the video above, which Ms. Johnson tweeted out along with commentary, Antifa can be seen chasing away a journalist and attempting to take his camera and phone so that he could not document their unprovoked violence.

“Take his camera, take his phone,” they shouted at a journalist.

In her report, Ms. Johnson and two other colleagues highlighted the profiles of the right-wing protestors. They were not Neo-Nazis.

“What’s more important is to dispel the myth that it’s all KKK here,” said Jordan Davis, 25, a Trump supporter at the protest. “Obviously I am not a Klansman. They’re trying to lump Trump supporters in with a group that is pretty much nonexistent. We are hopeful for an open, obvious dialogue.”

But that hasn’t stopped the media from distorting the truth and, thus, hiding the danger underscored in a recent PPD editorial. Antifa, the American brand of Anti-Fascist Action in Britain and Antifaschistische Aktion in Germany, is not a new group. They and similiar groups have long-served as the “useful idiots” of despotic, leftwing regimes and are designated as a domestic terror group by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in New Jersey.

Yet, a recent featured story on CNN, openly justified the violence routinely committed by Antifa. As Breitbart News underscored, “CNN lays out the narrative that the leftist protesters are driven to violence in an effort to achieve peace.”

“Antifa leaders admit they’re willing to physically attack anyone who employs violence against them or who condones racism — as long as force is used in the name of eradicating hatred,” CNN stated in their outrageous report.
